[MEAN WELL Hong Kong Charity] Hong Kong Rehabilitation Association - Launch Ceremony for rehabilitation Vehicle

Mean Well Hong Kong actively participates in Corporate Social Responsibility (ESG) charitable activities and has collaborated with the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation by donating a rehabilitation vehicle. This vehicle provides point-point accessible transport services for disabilities and those with mobility issues, as well as their companions, which reflects Mean Well Hong Kong’s commitment and dedication to local charity.
As a major rehabilitation service provider in Hong Kong, the Society for Rehabilitation offers a variety of support, particularly through its rehabilitation vehicle services, which is crucial for disabilities and long-term illnesses. By using the accessible transport vehicle, it enhances the convenience of going out for the users, also allows them to travel with dignity and confidence, along with reducing the judgment from others.
The rehabilitation vehicle donated by Mean Well is expected to operate for 28,000 hours annually, as well as serving over 22,000 passengers, with more than 90% being wheelchair users, mainly used for commuting to hospitals or medical institutions, demonstrating the importance of rehabilitation vehicles in providing medical transportation. Additionally, the rehabilitation vehicle services help individuals in participating more easily in socializing and other activities. Furthermore, it also enhances their social participation and offers support in both emotions and social dimensions, and has profound significance in promoting social integration.
Last but not least, the donation of rehabilitation vehicles from Mean Well doubtlessly makes a valuable contribution to the underprivileged groups, demonstrating a commitment to social responsibility. It is wished that this will foster greater inclusion and kindness for disabilities and mobility challenges. Furthermore, we would like to encourage more local businesses and individuals to eagerly participate in charitable activities and let the power of love continue to be transmitted in Hong Kong.
